Best time to visit Qui Nhon

Vietnam · 20-year averages

Qui Nhon is a city of two halves. February scores 95 and August scores 47 — a 48-point swing, which is the difference between a holiday and an endurance test. The month you pick matters more here than almost anywhere. The good window runs February to March — 2 months within ten points of the best.

August is the warmest month at 31.1 °C and January the coolest at 24.8 °C — a 6.3 °C spread across the year. Around 108 days a year top 30 °C, concentrated in August and the months either side.

There is a real wet season here. September to November carry the rain — up to 24 wet days in a month — while February to April drop as low as 3. That 21-day gap is the biggest single difference between a good month and a bad one in Qui Nhon, and it moves further than the temperature does.

The sea never drops below 25 °C, so swimming is on the table year round. Daylight barely moves: about 12.9 hours whatever the month, which removes one variable from the decision entirely.

The three strongest months are February, March, January. The one to think twice about is August. Each month below has its own page with rainfall reliability, extremes, daylight, sea temperature and crowd levels.
